Community Homemaking – Renfrew County

Marianhill is a charitable long-term care facility located in the beautiful Ottawa Valley. We provide specialized care for 200 long-term and complex continuing care Residents as well as a 3 bed hospice unit.

Marianhill is currently seeking Permanent, Casual Community Homemakers in Renfrew County

The Community Housekeeper Aide works under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Community Services or his/her delegate to help clients maintain a clean and pleasant atmosphere in their homes. Duties performed in accordance with Marianhill’s Mission Statement, established policies, procedures and current legislation. Duties performed in a manner which respects the uniqueness, dignity, worth, self-respect, self-determination and autonomy of the client and promotes maximum independence for the client to achieve the highest level of independence possible in their home.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 11 education is required.
• Own transportation required and a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in commercial cleaning and working with geriatrics and dementia care is an asset.
• Oral and written proficiency in English is required.
• Excellent attendance is essential.

Hours of Work: Various – hours are not guaranteed and are client based

Rate of Pay: Hourly $20.30 to $20.97 (CUPE Local 2764) +14% in lieu of benefits and 4% vacation paid out (twice annually) Wages are currently under negotiations.
