Casual Enhanced Resident Attendant

We are growing our team at Marianhill in response to the new Fixing Long-Term Care Act.  We are increasing the number of staff and to assist with this growth in our organization. Therefore, we are recruiting for a casual Enhanced Resident Attendant.

Marianhill is a faith based, not-for-profit organization that provides long-term care, community support services, palliative and hospice care services. Marianhill is accredited with Exemplary Standing.

Enhanced Resident Attendant

Under the direction of the Manager of Community Services and/or Registered staff, the Client Attendant performs all duties involved in the provision of client care.  Such duties are performed in accordance with Marianhill’s Mission Statement, established policies, procedures, and current legislation and in a manner which respects the uniqueness, dignity, worth, self-respect, self-determination and autonomy of the client and promotes maximum independence.

Qualifications

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate is required.
  • Successful completion of the medication administration course (can be completed upon award of position)
  • Experience working in Geriatric Mental Health and dementia is an asset.
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) is an asset.
  • Oral and written proficiency in English is required.
  • Oral and written proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Excellent attendance is required.

Rate of Pay:  CUPE 2764 Collective Agreement, hourly $29.29-$30.07 + 14% in lieu of benefits.

Please note proof as per Marianhill policy of required vaccinations, including but not limited to influenza, etc., is required as well as proof of a 2-Step Mantoux TB Skin Test dated within the last year with a current updated 1-Step. You will be required to provide an original, clear vulnerable sector criminal record check dated within the last 6 months and be able to sign a declaration at time of hire. Education certificate, diploma or otherwise must be provided to the Employer and you must participate in the N95 Mask Fit Testing Program as applicable.
