Marianhill is a faith based, not-for-profit organization that provides long-term care, community support services, palliative and hospice care services. Marianhill is accredited with Exemplary Standing.

Marianhill is currently seeking Permanent Casual Community Homemakers for Renfrew County.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Community Homemaker works under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Community Services or his/her delegate to help clients maintain a clean and pleasant atmosphere in their homes. Duties performed in accordance with Marianhill’s Mission Statement, established policies, procedures and current legislation.  Duties performed in a manner which respects the uniqueness, dignity, worth, self-respect, self-determination and autonomy of the client and promotes maximum independence for the client to achieve the highest level of independence possible in their home.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 11 education is required.
  • Own transportation required and a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in commercial cleaning and working with geriatrics and dementia care is an asset.
  • Oral and written proficiency in French is preferred.
  • Oral and written proficiency in English is required.
  • Excellent attendance is essential.

Hours of Work:   Varied – this position will be for throughout all of Renfrew County. Hours are client based and we offer elect to work scheduling (Make your own flexible schedule!).

Rate of Pay:  CUPE 2764 Collective Agreement, hourly $22.51-$23.25 + 14% in lieu of benefits.

Please note proof as per Marianhill policy of required vaccinations, including but not limited to influenza, etc., is required as well as proof of a 2-Step Mantoux TB Skin Test dated within the last year with a current updated 1-Step. You will be required to provide an original, clear vulnerable sector criminal record check dated within the last 6 months and be able to sign a declaration at time of hire. Education certificate, diploma or otherwise must be provided to the Employer and you must participate in the N95 Mask Fit Testing Program as applicable.
