I assess our residents to identify nutrition risks and develop nutrition care plans, appropriate for their specific health conditions, with goals and interventions designed to meet their individual needs and enhance quality of life. I participate in menu development to ensure appetizing, nutritionally adequate meals that offer variety and are adapted to meet texture and special dietary needs, in keeping with Canada’s Food Guide and Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care requirements.
Working at Marianhill, I’m part of a team that focuses on caring for the whole person with an emphasis on quality of life over illness. This workplace is not just our workplace — it’s home to those we serve. Caring for the elderly at this stage of their journey is a privilege.
I work with so many caring and dedicated staff who strive each day to live the mission of Marianhill through the care we provide. Whether it be as simple as pushing a wheelchair down the hall to the more complicated aspects of care, I’m surrounded by staff who bring to life the values of spirituality, hospitality, integrity, dignity and excellence every day.
