CCLC Seeking New Board of Directors

Catholic Congregational Legacy Charity (CCLC) is seeking expressions of interest from individuals interested in serving on its Board of Directors.
CCLC is a federally incorporated charitable organization established to support Catholic health and related charitable works through stewardship of endowment funds, real property, and other legacy assets held in support of CHSO and related charitable works.
CCLC operates within a Catholic sponsorship context and supports the long-term sustainability of Catholic health and related charitable works through responsible governance and stewardship of financial and property assets.
Governance
CCLC is governed by a skills-based Board of Directors responsible for:
- fiduciary oversight of charitable assets and endowment funds;
- strategic oversight of real property and development activities;
- approval of significant financial, legal, and strategic decisions; and
- ensuring alignment with CCLC’s charitable purpose and sponsorship context.
The Board includes both CHSO-affiliated and independent Directors and is currently seeking to strengthen its overall skills profile and governance independence through the recruitment of one to two additional Directors.
Priority Skills and Experience
To complement the current Board composition, the Board is particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- commercial or corporate law;
- endowment, investment, or financial stewardship;
- real estate development and land use planning;
- capital project development;
- engineering, construction, or infrastructure delivery;
- facilities or property management;
- public-private partnerships;
- government relations or public funding programs; and/or
- governance experience in complex not-for-profit, charitable, healthcare, housing, or public sector environments.
The Board also values candidates who bring:
- strategic thinking and sound governance judgment;
- experience working across sectors and stakeholder groups;
- familiarity with Catholic-sponsored organizations, charitable missions, or legacy stewardship; and
- diverse geographic, professional, and community perspectives.
Commitment to Mission
There is no requirement to be Catholic; however, Directors are expected to support the mission, values, and sponsorship traditions that guide Catholic health and related charitable works.
Expressions of interest may be submitted via email to Meaghan Sharp, President & CEO, by June 10, 2026. Additional information regarding CCLC and its mandate is available upon request.
