To keep everyone safe and healthy during COVID-19, please adhere to the following instructions:
All visitors MUST PRE-BOOK by contacting Wendy Biernaskie.
Visits are scheduled up to 7 days in advance or at the discretion of the department.
Visiting hours are Monday to Friday between 10am to 12pm and 1:15 to 5:00 pm depending on staffing levels.
All visitors MUST ARRIVE 10 MINUTES PRIOR to the visit and proceed to the designated area to be screened, have temperature taken and complete the appropriate paperwork.Designated Areas
1B – around the building off of 1B wing lounge
1C – outside the McCluskey Centre
1D – under the gazebo to the left of the front doors
2C – under the large gazebo to the right of the front doors
2D – under the large gazebo to the right of the front doors
All visitors MUST ADHERE to the following rules:
- Be limited to 30 minutes per visit, one visitor per resident
- Be feeling well on the date and time of the visit, as confirmed by passing the screening tool
- Maintain physical distancing of 6 feet by adhering to the lines marked on the ground and must not touch
- Wear a face mask or covering
- Perform hand hygiene
- Attest to the Marianhill staff that you have tested negative for COVID-19 within the previous two weeks
- Review the Infection Prevention and Control information prior to visiting
- Respect ALL guidelines put in place
- Bring your own lawn chair if possible
- Follow the direction of the staff assigned to the visit
Visitors WILL NOT:
- Leave any packages for the resident
- Bring pets along to the visit
- Bring food or drinks to leave with the resident
Cancellation of Visits
- Is weather dependent (heavy rain/heat advisories will result in the cancellation of the visit)
- If the Home is considered in a full outbreak, all outdoor visits will be temporarily suspended
- Given the challenge for residents with cognitive decline to adhere to the above process, outdoor visits may not occur
Non-Adherence to Guidelines
Any direction not followed as per Marianhill’s policies and procedures:
- will result in the visitor not being able to return to Marianhill.
- may result in the resident being tested for COVID-19 and being put on isolation
