Unit Manager – Units 1C and 2C, Hospice Palliative Care Unit
My main role is to provide pain and symptom management, assessment and follow-up. I also provide nursing care to residents that require interventions that are beyond RPN scope of practice. My goal is to lead these units with integrity, experience and compassion while encouraging an environment of high quality care.
I chair the Palliative Care Committee, contributing to the development of the palliative program at Marianhill. As well, I oversee the responsive behavior program and work in conjunction with the BSO leads to provide support to residents living with cognitive impairment.
Working in long-term and palliative is truly a passion for me. My goal is to ensure that our residents and their families and loved ones are comfortable and have the support they need.
I also enjoy supervising the nursing staff on my units, providing them with the education and support that empowers them to deliver the highest level of care to the residents of Marianhill.
