Marianhill is a charitable long-term care facility located in the beautiful Ottawa Valley. We provide specialized care for 200 long-term and complex continuing care Residents as well as a 3 bed hospice unit.

 

Marianhill is currently seeking Permanent, Casual Respite Workers for Renfrew County.

 

Marianhill is a faith based, not-for-profit organization that provides long-term care, complex continuing care, community support services, palliative and hospice care services. Marianhill is accredited with Exemplary Standing.

Respite Worker

The Respite Worker works under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Community Services or his/her delegate to help clients achieve the highest level of independence possible in their home. Such duties are performed in accordance with Marianhill’s Mission Statement, established policies and procedures and current legislation and in a manner which respects the uniqueness, dignity, worth, self- respect, self-determination and independence of the client and promotes maximum independence.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent is preferred.
  • Own transportation is required.
  • Experience in working with Geriatrics and Dementia care is an asset.
  • Experience in household management an asset.
  • Oral and written proficiency in English is required.
  • Excellent attendance is essential.
  • Food Handlers training is required.

 

Hours of Work:   Varied – this position will be for throughout all of Renfrew County.

Rate of Pay:  CUPE 2764 Collective Agreement, hourly $28.32-$28.94 + 14% in lieu of benefits.

Please note proof as per Marianhill policy of required vaccinations, including but not limited to influenza, etc., is required as well as proof of a 2-Step Mantoux TB Skin Test dated within the last year with a current updated 1-Step. You will be required to provide an original, clear vulnerable sector criminal record check dated within the last 6 months and be able to sign a declaration at time of hire. Education certificate, diploma or otherwise must be provided to the Employer and you must participate in the N95 Mask Fit Testing Program as applicable.
