Part Time Laundry Aide
We are growing our team to enhance the care at Marianhill in response to the new Fixing Long-Term Care Act. Therefore, we require more staff. As a result, we are recruiting for Part Time Laundry Aide
Marianhill is a faith based, not-for-profit organization that provides long-term care, complex continuing care, community support services, palliative and hospice care services. Marianhill is accredited with Exemplary Standing.
Laundry Aide
Under the direction of the Manager of Environmental Services, the Laundry Aide performs all duties involved in the provision of client care. Such duties are performed in accordance with Marianhill’s Mission Statement, established policies, procedures and current legislation and in a manner which respects the uniqueness, dignity, worth, self-respect, self-determination and autonomy of the client and promotes maximum independence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 11 education is required.
- Experience in commercial laundry services is an asset.
- Experience working with geriatrics and dementia care is an asset.
- Oral and written proficiency in English is required.
- Excellent attendance is essential.
Wage: As per CUPE 2764 Collective Agreement, $22.29- $23.08 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits

Please note proof as per Marianhill policy of required vaccinations, including but not limited to influenza, etc., is required as well as proof of a 2-Step Mantoux TB Skin Test dated within the last year with a current updated 1-Step. You will be required to provide an original, clear vulnerable sector criminal record check dated within the last 6 months and be able to sign a declaration at time of hire. Education certificate, diploma or otherwise must be provided to the Employer and you must participate in the N95 Mask Fit Testing Program as applicable.
